Hi, my name is Heidi and my family and I are all absolutely in love with Pugs!  What started out as falling in love with a family friends pug has turned into a life long passion.  We have been owned by pugs for more than 2 decades, and have been breeding pugs for about 8 years now.

When I first fell in love with pugs, the ones I would see were always in the 16 to 20 pound range. Short cobby sturdy wrinkly dogs. They were the perfect size. Not tiny and breakable looking like many of the toy breeds, and yet not too big to take places. As time goes by I have noticed that the toy breeds seem to be getting smaller and smaller all the time, especially in the show ring. This is true of the pug as well. Now I am seeing 10 and 12 pound pugs all over the place, and they just don’t look puggy too me.

I decided then, that it was time to preserve what the pug should be, a short cobby low to the ground 16 to 20 pound dog. It is not easy to find pugs in this size anymore, but we have searched all over the country in order to find that right breeding stock. All of our pugs are happy, healthy, sturdy dogs, that are life long companions devoted to making us laugh and feel loved. They are free from genetic disorders, and have excellent temperments. That is what a “Real Pug” is, and that is the standard that MysticStarz Pugs adheres to. That is why this is “The home of the Real Pugs”.

As we are expanding our website this is a work in progress and I will add more later....
